Pricing Announced for New BMW 6 Series Convertible

More powerful, greater torque, enhanced transmission, improved fuel efficiency, fewer emissions and faster over the 0-100km/h sprint – the captivating new BMW 6 Series Convertible offers substantial performance and technology gains which leaves the competition behind.

"It is a driver orientated executive express which will have particular appeal for enthusiasts and those who demand the ultimate in terms of performance motoring."

Powering the BMW 650i is a 4.4-litre eight-cylinder engine which develops a maximum 300 kW and peak torque of 600 Nm. It is partnered with an eight-speed Sports automatic gearbox as standard.

"The powerful V8 engine captures the essence of the BMW aural experience. The sound of the new model accelerating from standstill is simply amazing and is best experienced with the top down."

The impressive list of standard features includes adaptive drive, rear-view camera with surround view, Head-Up Display, adaptive headlights, Navigation Professional (featuring a large 10-inch colour screen) and front comfort seats with heating and ventilation functionality. The roof takes only 19 seconds to open and can be operated at speeds of up to 40km/h.

"The new Convertible is also slightly longer, wider and a touch lower," said Mr Gilbert.

"These design elements contribute to an athletic stance which translates to an amazing on-road presence."

The new model is available for sale in New Zealand this month.
